If you have watched Fantasia 2000; the part where Mickey became the sorcerer, he controlled the brooms, they're that scene in the movie.
"The Sorcerer's Apprentice" reteams the creative troika Jerry Bruckheimer, director Jon Turteltaub and Oscar winner Nicolas Cage in a tale of a powerful sorcerer living in present day New York City who must find and train his next successor. The next in line turns out to be a mild mannered 20-year old boy, who has no idea that he is a descendant of Merlin, or that his true destiny is to save the world.
