Bookmark and Share

Just watched REAL STEEL, and I know many of you might have watch it already. :)

Directed By Shawn Levy

Acted By Hugh Jackman, Evangeline Lilly, Dakota Goyo, Kevin Durand

Storyline :
A gritty, white-knuckle, action ride set in the near-future where the sport of boxing has gone high-tech, "Real Steel" stars Hugh Jackman as Charlie Kenton, a washed-up fighter who lost his chance at a title when 2000-pound, 8-foot-tall steel robots took over the ring. Now nothing but a small-time promoter, Charlie earns just enough money piecing together low-end bots from scrap metal to get from one underground boxing venue to the next. When Charlie hits rock bottom, he reluctantly teams up with his estranged son Max (Dakota Goyo)to build and train a championship contender. As the stakes in the brutal, no-holds-barred arena are raised, Charlie and Max, against all odds, get one last shot at a comeback.

This movie is indeed a "must-watch" movie. :)

Eventhough the story seems to only revolve around 2000-pound robots boxing, it is much more than that. It also tells conflicts among a father and his "new found" son which he then teams up with to bring the battle to arena and how he chose to do something right.

This film has a good storyline and great plot.
The movements and graphics of the robots are very good.

In conclusion, Real Steel is a movie not-to-be-missed!

Review Of : The Lion King in 3D

Bookmark and Share

I had just watched "The Lion King" in 3D! :)

Directed By Roger Allers, Rob Minkoff
Voices By Matthew Broderick, Jim Cummings, James Earl Jones, Rowan Atkinson

Synopsis : A Disney classic that follows the adventures of Simba, the feisty lion cub who "just can't wait to be king." But his envious Uncle Scar has plans for his own ascent to the throne, and he forces Simba's exile from the kingdom. Alone and adrift, Simba soon joins the escapades of a hilarious meerkat named Timon and his warmhearted warthog pal, Pumbaa. Adopting their carefree lifestyle of "Hakuna Matata," Simba ignores his real responsibilities until he realizes his destiny and returns to the Pride Lands to claim his place in the Circle of Life. The all-star vocal talents-including-plus the rip-roaring comedy and uplifting messages of courage, loyalty and hope make this a timeless tale for all ages.

Although the 3D effects doesn't much stand out in this film because its still in 2D animation, it is worth a watch. (:

The Lion King is truly a classic film. As for me, when this film was out in 1994, I wasn't even born yet. Therefore, the last time I watched it was on television before I watched it on the big screens.

All in all, if you love classic Disney movies, you would not want to miss this. With its heartwarming story, and great songs & scores together, its worth every moment.  :)

My Rating?
