Time-lapses | 2013

Happy New Year 2014! (:

Hope you all had a great 2013 and a greater 2014!
Here is a short video collection of time-lapses I made throughout the year. Hope you enjoyed it!

Time-lapse photography is basically taking photos of a subtle moving object/scene and using all of those shots to make a video. Like a stop-motion video or a slideshow (in a way)

I used my Nikon D3200 with an intervalomater (a gear attached to a camera that automatically take a certain amount of shots at a given interval through a given time-span) and mounted on a tripod.

Thank youu! (:

"The Art Of Vikingdom" Forum

"The Art of Vikingdom" Forum
on the 27th August 2013 @ TGV 1 Utama.

KRU Studios & TGV Cinemas organised a forum titled above in conjuction with the soon to be release Malaysian film; "Vikingdom". The movie will be released in local cinemas on the 12th of August 2013.

"Vikingdom" is a 100% local made fantasy, action/adventure movie about Eirick, a forgotten kingwho was tasked with the impossible odds to defeat Thor, the god of thunder.  (Yes, it's about Vikings, as the title states) Shocking isn't it? A Malaysian film about vikings? Quite a major inception for a local production house isn't it? Yes, it is.

"Vikingdom" is by far KRU Studios' biggest production to-date and with a budget of RM20 million. But the good news is that this local film will be expecting a US release in early October this year. Besides that, Universal Pictures has too acquired the international release of Vikingdom for UK, Australia?New Zealand, the Nordics, and additional territories.

The forum consisted from the behind-the-scenes look into the film from storyboards, productions designs, costumes, visual effects & etc.

The key people involved in the movie was present on that day to present their experience & outlook in the process of making the film. The speakers included are:-
  • Yusry Abdul Halim (Director),
  • Norman Abdul Halim (Executive Producer),
  • Tommy Mansur (Production Designer)
  • Monica Lee (Special EFX Make-up Designer)
  • Rosada Abdul Hamid (Costume Designer)
  • Paul Hasham (Art Director)
  • David Tang (Art Director)
  • Sherwin Nunis (Art Director)

I feel that although Vikingdom is a rather ambitious & somewhat "high-stakes" film from the local film industry, it might not be as great as those Hollywood blockbusters, but I feel that this movie might actually open up doors to the expansion of the Malaysian film industry.

Here are some pictures of of Ducks @ Oriental Village, Langkawi. Once you throw some bread crumbs at them they will come follow wherever you go for it. Double click to enlarge.

Ducks.

This picture looks like a postcard doesn't it? :D

And this photo is portraying what happens when you try to feed them; they must be very desperate for food until they stepped on the fishes. ( click to enlarge ) Pity the fishes.

They even went out of the lake and onto the walking pavement for food. The duck on the left ( I don't know what species of it ) went chasing & pushing away other ducks to get food.

Well, looks like it's " the battle of the fittest " for them.

Okay!
That's all for now!

Here is PART 4 Of The Korean Trip Series...

' THE GYEONGBOKGUNG PALACE '

This is the location where the Korean characters was created.

In the
Gyeongbokgung, also known as Gyeongbokgung Palace or Gyeongbok Palace, is a royal palace located in northern Seoul, South Korea. First constructed in 1394 and reconstructed in 1867, it was the main and largest palace of the Five Grand Palaces built by the Joseon Dynasty. The name of the palace, Gyeongbokgung, translates in English as "Palace Greatly Blessed by Heaven."

' The stone pointed with arrows are to signify the rank & the position of the officers, ministers & generals.' ( above )

Above is a painting of the Irworobongdo.

Irworobongdo is a Korean folding screen with a highly stylized landscape painting of a sun and moon, five peaks which always was set behind Eojwa, the king’s royal throne during the Joseon Dynasty. It literally means "Painting of the Sun, Moon and the Five Peaks" and is also called "Irwoldo" or "Irwolgonryundo". The sun and moon symbolize the king and queen while the five peaks denotes a mythical place in Taoism. The screen serves to display the majesty of the Joseon royal court.

Now, for the next dish...
The picture below is showing a food called ' Zha Jiang Mein '
( the one on both left & right of the picture.)
Meaning, ' Fried Sauce Noodles '.

It is REALLY DELICIOUS!! :D

It is quite popular in Korea.

It costs around 4000 Korean Won for the Basic one & 6000 Korean Won for the one with seafood added onto it.

but I would suggest to you the basic one because you can taste more of the sauce.

Alright, by now you might be salivating... xP lol!

If you watch many Korean dramas or shows, you might have seen many of these roadside stalls covered with plastic covers..

Like this;

Or like this;

Well, this is to protect from the rain, wind & the freezing weather ..
Stalls like these mostly sell food like :-

1) Stewed Chicken ( below )

2) Tteokbokki, also known as Topokki. ( below )
