Yeap, went to Genting yesterday to watch Richard Marx's concert courtesy of ntv7. Thank You. (:

As we arrived at Genting,  it was extremely crowded & packed. We were informed that all the hotel rooms for that day were fully booked. wow. 

Not to mention, the fog on that night was very...umm...foggy. (above) :P 

Alright, I shall cut to the chase & head on to the concert. 

Before the appearance of Richard, a Malaysian local artist "Liyana" was invited for a guest performance. She sang a few of her own songs. 

After she ended her performance, the crowd was anxiously awaiting for Richard Marx's performance. (for quite a long time.) 

Alas, he arrived with his first song : Endless Summer Nights.

  

Followed by :

• Take This Heart
• Keep Coming Back
• To Where You Are
• Until I Find You Again

And there is this song called "Hazard". 

"There is a funny story behind this song" said Richard.

Ever since he was a boy, he loved reading murder mystery books.

Due to his interest in these kind of stories, he then wrote a song based on these murder stories.

After he wrote & recorded this song, he said " This is the most stupid song I've ever written".

Then his wife insisted that she wanted to listen to it and after she listened, she said that this song will be a hit.

Richard said that this song is the worst song & so he wants to prove his wife wrong in  this situation, he sent it to the radio station.

Ironically, that song top the list & was a hit in 13 countries. And that song is "Hazard".

After this, he sang a few other songs like:

• When You Love Me
• Hold On To The Nights
• Now & Forever 
• Angelia
• Should've Known Better

He also sang this song called "Save Me" which he wrote and played by his 3 sons on the piano, guitar & drums respectively. 

 "This I Promise You" which he sang together with Liyana on stage. 

And finally the last song he sang is...

Yeap, you guessed it. "Right Here Waiting For You". The long awaited song by the crowd.

As the time arrived, the concert ended & the crowd dispersed, satisfied.

Review Of : Alvin and the Chipmunks 3 : Chip-wrecked

Just watched "ALVIN & THE CHIPMUNKS 3 : CHIP-WRECKED" last night,.

Acted by Jason Lee, David Cross, Jenny Slate.

(Chipmunk voices): Justin Long, Matthew Gray Gubler, Jesse McCartney. 

(Chipette voices): Christina Applegate, Anna Faris, Amy Poehler

Storyline : 

On vacation aboard a luxury cruise ship, Alvin, Simon, Theodore and the Chipettes are up to their usual antics, turning the ship into their personal playground, until they become 'chipwrecked' on a desert island. As Dave Seville frantically searches for his AWOL charges, the 'Munks and Chipettes do what they do best - sing, dance and wreak havoc. But they're in for the biggest surprises and lessons of their lives when they embark on an island adventure with their new friend - a castaway who's more than a match for Alvin and the Chipmunks.

Entertaining & funny movie.


This 3rd installment of  the Alvin & the Chipmunks films might be a little different from the previous two. If you haven't watch the previous two, I recommend for you to do so. Since in my opinion, it's a...different. It features a little more, action, laughter and..(Don't want to give out anymore spoilers ;) 


Storyline is good. (something different to me.)
Plot is hilarious. (as funny to the previous two)
Acting & Animation was both good. 
Music. (could've expected more but it was still good. )


In a nutshell, if you love the Alvin & the Chipmunks movies, you should watch this. 
If you just want to have a good laugh, this movie is recommended too. :)

Review Of : The Muppets

Just watched "THE MUPPETS" last night. (: 

Directed by James Bobin 

Acted by Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, FozzieBear, Gonzo, Animal, Jason Segel, Amy Adams, Chris Cooper, Walter & many Guest Stars appearances. 

Storyline :

When Walter, the world's biggest Muppet fan, and friends Gary (Jason Segel) and Mary (Amy Adams) discover the nefarious plan of oilman Tex Richman (Chris Cooper) to raze the Muppet Theater, they help Kermit reunite the Muppets to stage The Greatest Muppet Telethon Ever and raise the $10 million needed to save the theater.

An entertaining, comedy, musical movie.

Simple storyline. 

Entertaining plot filled with giggles, music & more. :P

I knew about the Muppets but did not watch  previous Muppets films though, but if you've watched any Muppets shows during your childhood times, you might like this movie as you can relate to it.

There are a many guest appearances that you can find throughout the movie such as Jack Black, Neil Patrick Harris, Selena Gomez, Rashida Jones, Whoopi Goldberg, and a few more. 

All in all, The Muppets is like a classic show, brought back into the modern world. 

So, if you want to catch a good family movie with a good amount of laughter & entertainment, this is it.

Review Of : Arthur Christmas

Just watched "ARTHUR CHRISTMAS" last night. (:

Directed by Sarah Smith.

Voiced by James McAvoy, Hugh Laurie, Jim Broadbent, Bill Nighy, Imelda Staunton, and Ashley Jensen.

Storyline: 

This Christmas movie answers every child‟s question how can Santa get around the whole world in just one night? The answer is a gloriously technically advanced North Pole operation, featuring an army of one million field elves, a vast supersonic 'sleigh' and a huge control center under the ice of the North Pole. But even the most high-tech operation has a margin of error... When the gift delivery to just one child in six hundred million is missed, Santa and his super-capable son Steve deem it an "acceptable margin of error". But Arthur Christmas, the misfit youngest son can't bear it. In a crazy rookie mission he sets out to get the last present half way around the globe in the two hours before Christmas dawns. His comical adventure reunites the dysfunctional Santa family and saves the future of Christmas itself.

A very funny & entertaining movie. 

Simple storyline. It's kind of like those  films which a classic story is then improvised to adapt with our modern world. (but never gets old. :p)

Hilarious plot.  . ( Watch it & you will know. ;) ) 

Animation was good since it was a production from Aardman Animations which also did  Flushed Away and Wallace & Gromit movies.

The film really brings up the "Christmas-y mood".

Although I did not watch it in 3D, but I think it looks really good in 3D. 

(the flying scenes/the sceneries/the Christmas decor/etc.)

All in all, if you want a good movie to fit the Christmas season with laughter ( like I said, it was hilarious) , watch this! :D

Review Of : Puss in Boots

Just watched the movie "PUSS IN BOOTS" yesterday! :) 

Directed by Chris Miller 

Voiced by Antonio Banderas, Salma Hayek, and Zach Galifianakis.

Storyline :

This film tells the story of Puss in Boots before he met Shrek. 

The movie introduces Puss as a wanted outlaw. He goes on an adventure to retrieve the elusive Golden Eggs from the Giant's castle at the same time, escaping from the murderous outlaws; Jack & Jill.  On his journey, he is accompanied with the master thief; Kitty Softpaws & the mastermind; Humpty Alexander Dumpty.

Quite entertaining & good movie. 

Many people would like to watch this animated film, is because they just love the adorable Puss as first introduced in "Shrek 2". 

The movie is more of introducing Puss background (as where he come from, his life & conflicts) 

It is an entertaining film. Eventhough I did not watch it in 3D, but from the looks of it, it should've been great in 3D! :)

I've expected much more of this movie though. But, all in all, it's worth a watch! :)
