Japanese Film Festival 2011 & Review Of : DOUBLE TROUBLE (JFF)

In conjunction with the Japanese Film Festival 2011, held in the Klang Valley from 15th to 20th September, there are a few Japanese films that are available in selected cinemas in the Klang Valley. This films will be then sent to Penang from 22th to 25th September.One particular film that I've watched was "DOUBLE TROUBLE".

The film tells the story of a cultural centre director that accidentally made a double-booking of two concert group with similar names; "The Mitama Ladies' Chorus" and "The Mitama Chorus Girls" on December 30th, a day before New Year Eve. From this, led to the story of how the director tries to settle this problem.

A very entertaining & funny film.

Watch this movie while it's still here in Malaysia. (:

 It tells the story of a student named Ah Kim & how he changed to a better person.

Review Of : Smurfs

Synopsis : 
When the evil wizard Gargamel chases the Smurfs out of their village, they're forced through a portal, out of their world and into ours, landing in the middle of New York's Central Park. Just three apples high and stuck in the Big Apple, the Smurfs must find a way to get back to their village before Gargamel tracks them down.

A very entertaining film.

A Simple storyline yet a funny one too.

If you want a good laugh, this is worth the watch.

My First Short Film; REALIZED. [COMING SOON]

Yeah, as you saw my blog title, this film; "REALIZED." is my first short film created by 

my group of  friends & myself from SMK Damansara Jaya.

It is our entry for the inter-school competition; MY Challenge presented by Star R.AGE & Musicast and organized by KDU College.

Synopsis:

This film tells the story from a student; Ah Kim's perspective about his life. He wasn't a good student in school, he had disciplinary issues, and he was a bully, that is until... he met a girl that changed his life forever. This is a story when he found love, when he discovered he could change for the better, this is when he...realized.

The film has been completed and will be uploaded by the end of this month. 
My film is a very amateur-ish film but hope you'll enjoy it once it has been posted up. (:

Review Of : HANNA

Directed By Joe Wright 

Acted By Saoirse Ronan, Cate Blanchett and Eric Bana

Storyline : Hanna (Ronan) is a teenage girl. Uniquely, she has the strength, the stamina, and the smarts of a soldier; these come from being raised by her father (Bana), an ex-CIA man, in the wilds of Finland. Living a life unlike any other teenager, her upbringing and training have been one and the same, all geared to making her the perfect assassin. The turning point in her adolescence is a sharp one; sent into the world by her father on a mission, Hanna journeys stealthily across Europe while eluding agents dispatched after her by a ruthless intelligence operative with secrets of her own (Ms. Blanchett). As she nears her ultimate target, Hanna faces startling revelations about her existence and unexpected questions about her humanity.

A very good film. 

If you want a good fast-paced film, this is a good one.

If you think this is an action film with shooting & explosions, this is not that. 

But, this film does not need all that to bring that action into live.

The action scenes did go quite well with the movie scores by The Chemical Brothers. 

Overall, a simple storyline but a very suspense plot. 

Great movie that should not be missed.

Review Of : TRANSFORMERS 3 : Dark of the Moon

Directed By Michael Bay 

Acted By  Shia LaBeouf, Josh Duhamel, John Turturro, Tyrese Gibson, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

The Storyline : When a mysterious event from The Earth's past erupts into the present day about a lost ship that was crashed on the Moon. the Autobots & Decpticons are racing to retrieve & learn of its secrets. 

                                

                           

Good film. I've expected more of it.

In my opinion the film's plot is a sort of  "missing" something. 

Some scenes of the film, in my opinion, might not be necessary. 

The film's action pace still maintains a little. 

If you are going to watch, you might want to watch the previous Transformers films. It would be much easier to understand the storyline.

Graphics of the robots are great! Though, I did not watched it in 3D yet.

Overall; a good film. Worth a watch though. :) But, I expected much more of this film though. :P
